Overview

NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (LC/WB-2023-19027):

 

Bowhead is seeking to network, for an upcoming proposal effort, with Network Administrator to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division. The contract will support business services in support of Code 80 and other organizations associated with or sponsoring the NSWCCD. The business services include Program Management and Planning, Finance, Logistics, Security, Space Planning, Safety, Administrative Services, Technical Editing, Records Management, and Computer Engineering and IT support.

 

 

Responsibilities

As the Network Administrator, you will be responsible for providing the High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) with technical and professional support elements required for the operation of the HPCMP Office (HPCMPO) in all phases of planning and execution of its mission, including: technical and administrative support in all areas of program activity, program management support, meeting facilities and office environment, to include a complete telecommunications and computer systems capability and full logistical services.

 

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.
  • Designs, builds, and implements network systems.
  • Directs compilation of records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoots network performance issues.
  • Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.
  • Monitors and responds to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field, from an accredited college or university OR advanced training in the field of computer programming, with eight years of computer programming experience in addition to the minimum experience requirement stated above.

• Ten years of experience in the field of computer programming, including a sound familiarity with programming techniques and various programming languages.

• Five years of experience in providing technical guidance and skills in support of information systems development and integration efforts.

• A Master’s degree may be used to substitute for five years of experience.

• Advanced training in the field of computer programming and an additional eight years of computer programming experience may be used to substitute for the Bachelor’s degree.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Confidential level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Confidential clearance at this location.
