UIC Bowhead Transport, LLC (BTC) is a subsidiary of Ukpeagvik INupiat Corporation (UIC) a Northern Alaska Native (8A). BTC provides marine cargo transportation; lightering environmental and research support, logistics services. We have a diverse fleet of vessels that provides our customers with comprehensive marine service options in multiple Alaska Regions. JOB SUMMARY: The deckhand is responsible for assisting work on deck; inclusive of line handling, on and off watch, Perform deck and engine security rounds, May have assigned security duties and emergency duties, and other duties assigned as required by the Vessel Master. Cooking Duties include; preparing home style meals for crew members and occasional guests of the vessel.

Or, a current certification as an Executive Chef or higher from the American Culinary Federation
Or, Graduate of an accredited commercial academy/school, and has completed training in nutrition, and is Serv-Safe Manager certified.
