This position will provide administrative support for the UIC Lands & Real Estate Department.

Responsibilities

CAREER LADDER DEVELOPMENT TRACK

Answer, screen, and forward calls, providing information and taking messages for the UIC Lands & Real Estate Department. Greet persons entering the office, hear and help resolve needs, and direct them as needed. Process payments
Process land use permit applications.
Draft documents, including deeds, waivers, and land use agreements. Distribute incoming and outgoing mail for the UIC Lands Office.
Code invoices for processing.
Maintain contact with vendors to ensure invoices are paid.
Maintain a tenant database to track residential properties.
Enter work orders and follow up as needed.
Draft and send out notices to tenants.
Coordinate inspections of leased units. Maintain confidentiality on all work-related matters. Scan UIC lands files and upload to Sharepoint.
Update UIC Lands & Real Estate files.

Qualifications

Confidentiality Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally. Ability to work independently. Must be computer literate with experience in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
