Overview

STOCK CLERK (2024-21849):

 

Bowhead is seeking a Stock Clerk to join our team in support of the Warehouse Storage and Support Services contract located in Jacksonville, FL at the Naval Air Station. The Stock Clerk will receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compile stock records of items in the stockroom or warehouse. 

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

 

• Sort, count, and identify incoming articles to verify recipt of items on requisitions or invoices.

• Examining stock to verify conformance to specifications, storing articles in bins on floors or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size or type of material.

• Filling orders or issuing supplies from stock.

• Preparing periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock, and requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.

 

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required at a minimum in addition to at least two (2) years of stocking experience.

• Experience with the military Logistics Information Systems (LIS) preferred.

• Basic to intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.

• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

 

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. However candidates with an active clearance are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

 

Applicants may be subject to a pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and/or random drug screen, and must follow UIC’s Non-DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requirements. If the position requires, an applicant must pass a pre-employment criminal background history check. All post-secondary education listed on the applicant’s resume/application may be subject to verification. Where driving may be required or where a rental car must be obtained for business travel purposes, applicants must have a valid driver license for this position and will be subject to verification. In addition, the applicant must pass an in-house, online, driving course to be authorized to drive for company purposes.
