Overview

Mid-Level Social Media Manager:

 

Bowhead is seeking a Mid-Level Social Media Manager for an upcoming effort located at the Navy Yard in Washington, DC. The Mid-Level Social Media Manager will Develop, plan and execute social media content and campaigns aligned to Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) messaging priorities and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Curates all relevant visual and audio/video media and news products, creates and retains statistics/measures of effectiveness for maximum engagement to a wide range of audiences; including Members of Congress, Department of Defense (DOD), industry stakeholders, general public as wells as military and civilian personnel within the NAVSEA enterprise.
  • Acts as the primary manager and content creator for the command’s social media sites (currently Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram).

 

Bowhead seeks to network with qualified individuals relative to a potential opportunity, which is contingent upon award and not currently funded.  Incumbent employees are encouraged to respond. No solicitations or third-party applications will be accepted.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in managing social media platforms.
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in English or Communications or related field.
  • Knowledge of NAVSEA, Congress, the Navy and Department of Defense.

Target salary is $85,000/year to $140,000/year commensurate with experience.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
